October 17, 20254 min read

Have you ever sat down to finally figure out your next career step—only to end up with 12 tabs open, three half-finished lists, and absolutely no clarity?

Yep, mama, you’re not alone.

Here’s the truth: clarity isn’t hiding in another Google search. It’s not about doing more. It’s about clearing the fog so you can actually hear what’s already inside you.

In this post, I’ll show you:

  • The 4 hidden fog triggers that keep working moms stuck.

  • The Clarity Compass—a simple framework to find your next best step.

  • How your leadership style shapes the way you discover clarity.

By the end, you’ll walk away with your own compass pointing you forward—with less overwhelm and more confidence.

🌫️ The Four Fog Triggers That Keep Moms Stuck

Clarity doesn’t disappear because you’re “bad at decisions.” It disappears because of the fog. Here are the four triggers I see most often with my clients (and in my own life too):

  1. Over-Identification → You’re so wrapped up in your roles (mom, manager, helper, doer) that you’ve lost touch with what you actually want.
👉 Reflection: What part of yourself have you set aside because of your roles?

  2. Over-Commitment → You’ve said yes to everything—work projects, school volunteering, family obligations—and can’t even see your own priorities anymore.
👉 Reflection: What’s one thing on your plate that doesn’t align with your real values?

  3. Over-Processing → You’re stuck in analysis paralysis—researching, rethinking, second-guessing—until you’re exhausted and no decision gets made.
    👉 Reflection: What’s one decision you’ve been over-processing lately?

  4. Over-Control → You’re waiting for the “perfect” plan before taking any action. But clarity doesn’t come from control—it comes from motion.
👉 Reflection: Where are you waiting for perfection before you move?

Which one feels most like your fog right now?

🧭 The Clarity Compass

Once you name your fog, you can start to clear it. That’s where the Clarity Compass comes in. These four simple questions will guide you back to yourself:

  1. What’s energizing me lately?
Look for moments—big or small—that gave you a spark of joy or peace. Your energy points toward your values.

  2. What’s draining me right now?
These are your leaks. They steal your energy, and naming them gives you the power to shift them.

  3. What am I doing just because I should?
Every “should” is a fog machine. Guilt, pressure, comparison—all of them cloud clarity.

  4. What’s the one thing I keep thinking about but haven’t acted on?
That persistent nudge? It’s not random. It’s your clarity trying to get your attention.

Write down your answers to these four. Then step back. The themes will point you toward your next aligned move.

👩‍💼 How Your Leadership Style Shapes Clarity

Clarity doesn’t look the same for everyone—it shows up differently depending on your wiring.

💪Boss Lady in Action → Finds clarity through movement. Action creates momentum—but focus on one aligned priority instead of chasing productivity for its own sake.
👑Charismatic Queen → Finds clarity through expression. Speak it, write it, share it—not for applause, but for alignment.
💖Heart-Centered Guide → Finds clarity through connection. Stop tuning into everyone else’s needs, and ask: What do I need right now to feel whole?
🧠Visionary Brainiac → Finds clarity through processing. But don’t wait for the perfect plan. Ask: What’s the next imperfect step I can take right now?

❓What one nudge keeps tugging at me that I haven’t acted on?

🌟 Your Next Step

Clarity doesn’t mean you see the entire map. Clarity means you know your next aligned step.

This week, I challenge you to:
1️⃣Write out your answers to the Clarity Compass.
2️⃣Identify your biggest fog trigger.
3️⃣Take one small step using your clarity script.

It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be forward.

💌 Final Encouragement

Mama, you don’t need to hustle your way to clarity. You don’t need to burn out or control every outcome.

The clarity you’ve been chasing? It’s already inside you. You just need to clear the fog to see it.
